Rave’d up! is an offline event organized by the Flutterwave team. They invite merchants every month and teach them how to use Rave to grow their businesses.

The brief was to design a well-thought about and cohesive brand for the event. Expected deliverables included a logo, stage backdrop and social media designs for announcements.

Insight

Rave’d Up is about discussion, discovery, addressing issues and fixing them.

We’re dealing with real issues, and to paraphrase Oscar Wilde’s words, they’re too important to be taken seriously. The design language needed to reflect this.

Logo Options

Idea

The logo is a bold type that’s easily recognizable and clear to read. The sans serif font is simple and sophisticated, yet does not dilute the core brand (rave) DNA. The ‘><’ represents the conversations and workshops that are integral to Rave’d Up. They also serve as instant identifiers. A smart, friendly logo.

Brand Architecture

Combined with broad dutone palette to create a modern, dynamic visual identity. The spontaneous duotone aesthetic reflects the entrepreneurial spirit of the merchants/attendees.

The simple wordmark can be configured for specific programmes of activity, which span across countries and skillset.

Social Media Banners

The image style and vibrant palette (bright and colorful) will reflect the positive work of Rave’d up facilitators. Dutone and structure will change with events. Paired with consistent typeface, the communications allow constant reinventions.
